Announcement of Changes for 2025
We would like to inform you of some important changes happening at Heretaunga Kindergartens, that will come into effect from the 20th January 2025.
These changes have been made following thoughtful consideration and extensive staff consultation, with the aim of ensuring the sustainable delivery of quality kindergarten education while balancing the well-being of our teachers (Kaiako).
What’s Changing?
New Session Times
From the 20th January 2025, some of our kindergartens are amending their session times to align more closely with local primary school hours. Check the table below for specific changes at each kindergarten.Open During School Term Breaks
Our kindergartens will remain open over the school term breaks, offering more flexible care options for whānau. The Christmas holiday closure will remain unchanged.Professional Development Week
All kindergartens will close for one week in July 2025 (7th – 11th July) for kaiako professional development, ensuring continuous growth and improvement.No More Fees
We’re proud to announce a return to our roots with 100% free education at all our kindergartens.
